Extra Sense
The extra sense is indeed a mystical presence.
Not all are in possession of this sense. Its application (or lack
thereof) can make or break a project. Just try to undertake any
project without a liberal dose of common sense. Yes, common sense
is the mystical extra sense.
We take great pride in being firmly grounded.
All projects are full of pitfalls and potential dangers. Common
sense is the mortal enemy of bad products. There is very little
that common sense cannot resolve or overcome. Issues such as budget
limitations, scheduling conflicts and script revisions are not easily
dealt with, however they are far from insurmountable.
We have a gift for clarity and organization that
allows us to see our way clear (and your way as well) to a successful
production. Commonsense should be applied to the planning and preproduciton
phases, writing and design. It should be generously applied to the
creative process.
In actuality there is nothing mystical about commonsense.
The mystifiying part pertains to why it is not used in development
more than it currently appears to be
. Commonsense is your
friend. It should be embraced and treated as such.
